Bunny Flop

Bunny Flop is a giant bean bag/plush toy collaboration between Jon Burgerman and Martin Vicker of Medessin. Bunny Flop was unleashed at Unleashed, in Nottingham in 2007. He’s an Oldenburgian bean-bag, soft-sculpture and has since been adopted out.

Said Martin Vicker: “It’s good to work with someone who usually works in 2D. The Bunny Flop is very different from my usual work and a bit of laugh. Humour is very important in terms of design, and this collaboration with JB was a great release of energy into a product that prompted a spectrum of response, mainly laughter!” The piece proved a most comfortable resting place for weary design show attendees during London Design Festival who were found sleeping, working, playing and observing on the various parts of Bunny Flop throughout the show.

BDI had this to say about Unleashed: Nottingham astounded press and public alike at Designersblock London with a new project titled Unleashed. The show, instigated to gift raw inspiration, bought together creative practitioners from different disciplines to collaborate on evocative new pieces.
