Tea Bear Dunny
The Tea Bear is Jon’s second manufactured Dunny and his first 8-inch Dunny. It’s also a first for Kidrobot, as it was 1/3 of their multi-artist 8-inch Dunny trio (also including TADO’s Uncle Bucky and ilovedust’s Zulu Mong Bear) that came out in 2008. Check out the 3 artists’ blog here as they track their 3 Bears signing tour. Each Dunny is sold separately for an SRP of $50 (including accessories) in a collaboratively designed box by the artists.
Tea Bear was found roaming the lush green hills of Derbyshire before being forced into the life of an English butler by his unruly master, Dr. Doodlebaum. Nobody knows that Tea Bear has been secretly weeing into the brew and putting tiny bear plops in the scones. Whatever you do–don’t ask him for a frothy coffee.
After the release of the 8-inch 3 Bears Dunny trio, a spanish designer named Wuz One customized 3-inch Dunnys to look like their 8-inch brethren. The likeness is outstanding, but no production versions were made.
