Ship of Fools

Ship of Fools

Jon submitted a print for the launch of the Ship of Fools Gallery in Amsterdam in April of 2009. The piece in the show was the green one, but Doodlesplatter gets to show you the blue one too. I really like this description of the Gallery:

The Ship of Fools Gallery is a place to find art that makes you smile, art that has a nice set of balls, is straight forward and honest. We show art from people we believe in, not only names you know but also new ones. They come from all sorts of places, and all sorts of countries. The name Ship of Fools comes from a painting by Hieronymus Bosch, the first real character designer. The painting depicts a ship filled with fools wasting their lives by playing cards, drinking, flirting, eating, etc. instead of spending it in “useful” ways. That sounds brilliant, doesn’t it?!?
