Inkstrumental
Dammit, now I really need an iPhone:
A motley crew of Jon Burgerman characters are the line-up for a new iPhone game called Inkstrumental™.
This crazy game, coming soon for iPhone and iPod touch, lets you create music by touching the characters, who each play a sound from a selection of weird and wonderful samples and noises. You can make different tunes by putting the characters in various sequences and touching them like a synthesizer keyboard. You will also be able share your Inkstrumental™ creations with other users, and hear what inkstrumentalists™ around the globe have come up with.
Inkstrumental™ is a collaboration between doodle meister Jon Burgerman and digital design studio ustwo™ (the people who brought us iPhone apps MouthOff™ and Steppin™).
This looks so great. Classic characters, delicious doodles and tons of tunes. Jon’s last foray into game design for gadgets was Burgertown Races for WipEout Pure on the PSP. Inkstrumental™ will introduce legions of Apple fans to Jon’s art (vice versa). Read on for more images and video teasers.
