Rainy Day Dunny
Kidrobot took a page from Japanese toy stores and offered a toy that is only available on rainy days. Appropriately, they used a version of Jon’s umbrella-toting Gardunny from the Ye Olde English Dunny series. Not just a change of colorway, Jon’s Rainy Day Dunny is blue with all-new doodles. This is his third 3-inch Dunny for Kidrobot. The figure is available only when it’s raining (at Kidrobot stores and “virtually” online). It’s limited to 1000 pieces for $9.95 here. Flippers on eBay are already charging you as much as 5X that, despite it’s relatively recent (April 16th, 2009) drop date. “It’s a shame that people do that but they’re not breaking the law or anything,” said Jon. “You can’t do much about it, it’s part of the market and the price you pay for making exclusive limited pieces.”
