Posse Spotting: Depot for Creative Reuse
We love the East Bay Depot for Creative Reuse. We think the Posse did good on this one, as Jon is really committed to reusing materials too.
The East Bay Depot for Creative Reuse is an ecological treasure trove of art & craft materials, educational supplies, vintage furniture, home décor, paper goods, fabric, and much more. Founded in 1979 by two Oakland public school teachers, the Depot promotes solid waste diversion and resource conservation through the Depot store and environmental education programs.
In early Fall, we found the above Posse sticker in the company of Rock Hudson, a shout out to heavy metal and a merry assortment of sliced tomato and pepper magnets. When we returned this week, Jon had been joined by Alfred E. Neuman, Dead Eyes, the alphabet and some really GOOD NEWS. I got this picture, and Greta got 5 vintage patterns, 1 broken candle, the tiniest bath tub you ever did see and a clear Christmas ornament, all for $1.81. If you’re in the Temescal neighborhood of Oakland, CA, they’ve got a ton of new hardcover Upper Playground art books for only $2.50 each.
