Free inkstrumental iPhone App Wallpapers
Every couple months, there’s something new to post about inkstrumental, and we hear ustwo is getting close to releasing Jon’s iPhone app. Although it’s a bit like putting the cart in front of the horse, it’s great advertising and obviously, I’m a sucker for a JB wallpaper. I don’t see a way to link to the individual post on their tumblr site, but currently at the top of the page: four free colorful, virtual wallpaper downloads.
Queens Medical Centre Murals
If you have to be admitted to the Nottingham Queens Medical Centre, Children’s Wing, at least the decor is cheerful. Jon did these two adhesive wall murals with printing and installation by Ian Robinson. The sheets of coloring book paper are a nice touch. Are those POSCAS?
AREAWARE $850 Decal
Adding to the range of available Jon Burgerman clings, “vynils” and wall adhesives comes a new decal through AREAWARE. “My World is Pink and Blue” is a gigantic (146.5 x 118 inches) slice of custom made-to-order vinyl for your wall. Color-in Wallpaper
Maybe you can’t afford an original work of art by one of your favorite designers, but now you can at least try to emulate them by coloring in the lines. This new wallpaper makes setting up a Jon Burgerman-style installation a snap. The paper, which retails for £40-£45, can be found at Oliver Bonas, Pussy, Snowhome and many other shops in the UK. American distribution is coming from eco-conscious NineteenSeventyThree, but can be ordered directly from them online for £40 (~$55 USD) here. Wallpaper: size: 1000cm x 52cm (20.5 inches) roll, black print. Coloring in doodles is a scientifically proven way to calm oneself. Color-in wallpaper is recommended by 10/10 psychologists for patients who suffer from certain kinds of anxiety. True story.
MixtART Mobile Phone Wallpapers
Hands-On Mobile, a “leading global publisher of mobile lifestyle, games and personalization products” has turned its attention to the arts. Their new service, mixtART, gives consumers the ability to purchase exclusive cell phone art via SMS. In addition to a piece by Jon, users can also download mixtART by Alex Pardee, Buff Monster, Patrick Ma and Noferin for $1.99 each. Now you can not only outfit the exterior of your iPhone by Jon, but you can pimp out the insides too. I tried to set this up on my several years-old Samsung phone and if you can text, but not link to the Internet, it won’t work, unfortunately. Best to maybe try these Dada Mobile Phone Wallpapers.

Banquet of Freeloaders Wallpaper
Although this wallpaper didn’t go viral among bloggers like Jon’s DIY wallpaper, when I own a home, I am getting this. Banquet of Freeloaders is Jon’s wallpaper design for Maxalot’s Exposif Designer Wallpaper Collection. The wallpapers are custom-printed in any size to fit your space floor to ceiling, left to right. I’m not 100% sure what this means, but as for price, it says: “Costs: €325,- + € 29,- p/m2.”

Adventures on Doodle-Safari Alternative Wallpaper

Run by Stéphane Arriubergé and Massimiliano Iorio, Domestic introduces collections of objects designed by designers, graphic artists and artists gathered around innovating and new concepts and themes. All these objects have the particularity of offering an area where the end user can intervene and be free in the creation process. A colorful desktop wallpaper from 2007. Works nicely if you align your icons on the righthand side. Jon still offers it for download in a variety of sizes in his archives here. This is currently the wallpaper on my laptop.
