A Week of Audio Tweets
Instead of posting silly thoughts on Twitter I thought I’d create a song a day, of 140 seconds or less instead. I intend to do this for a week. The project is called A Week of Audio Tweets.
First up is “I’m a Pigeon”. You can listen to and download the new songs HERE.
Name Jon’s Mugo Player
Mugo is running a contest to name Jon’s new Mugo character. They’re looking for a name and a short description, and they’re putting the winner’s fate in Facebook fans’ hot little hands. The Mugo Player is a character-driven mp3 player for all those folks who would rather their digital music come in the form of a cute humanoid companion than that sleek little gizmo everybody else has. I have no doubt that Jon’s character already has a name, as Jon names and titles all of his work. But Mugo wants to crowd-source the little guy’s hello my name is (and collect a few email addresses along the way). Designer Mugo Players retail for about $60, and DIY blanks go for $50. No word on if these gadgets will be available through Burgerplex, so if you’re chomping at the bit, send your suggestion to mugo at submit [at] mugoplayer [dot] com.
More Anxieteam at the Nottingham Contemporary
We’ve got some more Anxieteam photos from the Nottingham Contemporary gig. These shots were taken by Meli Gueneau. Love the Jon and Jim puppets by Felt Mistress!
Anxieteam at the Nottingham Contemporary
Without further ado, here are some visuals from this past weekend’s Anxieteam picture disc release gig at the Nottingham Contemporary. The detail-oriented amongst you may recognize Jon’s shirt as being the one he wore in New York at the Goodbye Blue Monday show. This begs two questions: 1) Should Jeremy get a new hobby? and 2) Why doth the T-shirt king double-up? All photos were pilfered from Hello Thor’s Flickr set. A special bonus is the appearance of Amir, head honcho at the JBVLA, as the red Soya dancer. Click through to see it all. More photo documentation of the recent UK gigs is on the way!
Anxieteam Gets Puppetized
The talented Felt Mistress has created puppet effigies of Jon and Jim Avignon in support of their upcoming London Anxieteam gigs. Go see them!

Let’s eat soya! Let’s eat soya! I’m not even a vegetarian, and I could eat some soya right now. Breaking down boundaries, that’s what they do.

Anxieteam UK Gigs!
Anxieteam is playing two dates in the UK to celebrate the launch of their debut single, Let’s Eat Soya/ Lonely in the Digital World. The 7″ picture disc is produced by Hello Thor. Jon urges: “If you’re in either London or Nottingham please come along and say hi and not boo and cheer and clap!” London tickets are now available here: www.wegottickets.com/event/89748. Doodlesplatter urges you to go and take pictures and make illicit recordings on your cell phones. Anxieteam bootlegs are gonna be bigger than the Grateful Dead! Posse power.
Anxieteam Live at Galerie Schüppenhauer in Germany
Anxieteam performs their classic track, “Let’s Eat Soya” at Galerie Schüppenhauer in Cologne, Germany.
Anxieteam Performs at Goodbye Blue Monday
Anxieteam played its last NYC show (for now) at Goodbye Blue Monday on June 13th. During this gig, Anxieteam’s first CD was free-vealed, and our Doodlesplatter NYC correspondent, Saki, was kind enough to share the tunes and photos from the event. You can sample some of the tracks on Anxieteam’s MySpace page, but Jon has cryptically suggested that there may be more Anxieteam CD news in August. Saki won one of the coveted discs, but I don’t think she’s posted about it yet. You should still check out her Flickr and blog, though, because she rules and because I said so. Goodbye Blue Monday and Goodbye Anxieteam (for now). Jon has many more photos on his site here.
