Video Interview with Jon
Check out this new entry in the JBVLA produced by DEAD PXL. In this video interview, Jon discusses the past, present and future. Wow, as of this moment, Amir’s logged 64 videos in the JBVLA (and I just forwarded him another). Go grab a libation and kill an afternoon watching some.
Live Doodling at ustwo: The Fast Version
Want the abridged version of Jon’s recent multi-hour ustwo muradoodle? Here ya go. It’s the newest addition to the JBVLA. Edit by Amir. Music by Hammer.
Live Doodling at ustwo NOW!
I’m loving technology this morning. Thanks to twitter I got a reminder to tune in to this from Miami, and thanks to ustream, I can see and hear it. What’s next? A robot vacuum cleaner?
Coco Gulab Juman vs. Watercress
Here at Doodlesplatter, we find joy in randomness. Check out this experiment by VJSharpeyes using Coco Gulab Juman for flavor. Awesome! Spoiler alert! Wish the cress could have gotten a bit of water to save it at the end though.
Jon Burgerman Video Library Archive Launches!
Announcing the launch of the Jon Burgerman Video Library Archive, henceforth known as the JBVLA! I mentioned to Amir that Doodlesplatter’s host wasn’t kosher with the size of the BBC Blast videos, so he went and created the JBVLA. There’s currently 15 nuggets of moving picture, and growing. We’ll highlight ‘em every so often, but bookmark it or click the new sidebar icon to keep up-to-date. The posse is collaborating all over the place! Shown here are a pair of BBC Burgerman 101s.
My American Summer Video
Oh snap. Just stumbled across this video montage on the new Anxieteam site. Art, cats and delicious food. A shout-out to Trader Joe’s. Keep your eyes peeled for a cameo from Molly Ringwald and yours truly.
Anxieteam Live in Hamburg
heliumcowboy just posted a video from Pudel Club in Hamburg featuring Anxieteam performing their iconic track, “Melancholy Pays My Rent.” This recent Jon/Jim collab was part of Who is Afraid of a Friendly Capitalism?. The audio track is available on Jim’s newest album, and you can even download it for free right here.
Kidrobot Interviews Jon
The Kidrobot Kronikle just posted a short video interview with Jon from this past summer in NY. Revelation: If Nottingham ceases to be Doodle HQ for one reason or another, Berlin, the Netherlands and New York should quickly get their campaigns going. This is really no different than putting in a bid to host the Olympics, so start talking to your Senators!
Beat the Credit Crunch
When all money is spent and gone, humor is our most reliable currency. Here now is a public service announcement from Jon Burgerman. Doodlesplatter encourages our vegan readers to bundle up in an extra cardigan whilst watching.
Mega Munny for MUNNYWORLD
If you are in New York right now, you can go see Jon’s 18-inch Mega Munny at The Eloquent Deliquents Gallery on Wooster Street. The MUNNY WORLD show is on view for just 3 days (November 13-15th) and includes pieces by some great artists and toy customizers like Doktor A, Huck Gee, Buff Monster, 64Colors, Devilrobots, Andrew Bell and Touma, among many others. I like a lot of the customs, but I’m iffy on the new line of DIY toys Kidrobot is promoting with this show. I’m not 100% sure we need more blank amorphous animal toys, particularly given that at least one looks like an already existing Qee shape and not to mention what artists can do with a 99 cent “rollie” deodorant stick.
But alas, I am a blogger not a businessman, and I’m sure these will sell like hotcakes and Rosie O’Donnell will buy stock. Not near New York? You can buy Jon’s one-of-a-kind Mega Munny here (through tomorrow only)! Not flush with cash? Enjoy the journey as much as the destination? Here’s a video for you. P.S. That’s Kidrobot’s typo, not mine!
