Share Some Candy Shares Some Workspaces
I love a good gander behind the scenes. Following in the legacy of Burgerstudio tours from Guillotine (France) and Tiki Chris (UK) comes the latest Workspace reveal by Share Some Candy (USA). Founded by Reuben and Yael Miller of my homestate of New Jersey, the site focuses on all aspects of design. Jon is the fourth artist to join their new Workspaces feature series. There are about 30 great shots of Jon’s studio, including much fun clutter and a few works that were new to me. Check it out here.

Today’s Most Bumped
Doodlesplatter has two spots on the Today’s Most Bumped menu at Freshbump! The second image from the left is yesterday’s post on Jon’s metal figures. Right next to that is the Jon Burgerman Has a Posse logo. I just found out about Freshbump, and while Doodlesplatter’s stats aren’t showing a ton of new visitors yet, it sure is fun to get bumped. It’s even fun to just say “bumped.” If you’d like to help bump Doodlesplatter up to the top, just click the “bump” button under the picture at http://www.freshbump.com/jon-burgerman-has-a-posse. No sign-up needed. Give us a nudge, would ya? And check out Freshbump while you’re there.
[UPDATE: Well this just puts the "bum" in "bump." It looks like there's been a glitch or perhaps a purposeful removal of the two Doodlesplatter Freshbumps from yesterday. I've sent an inquiry. The link above no longer works. Did we bump with too much vigor? It's hardly like we took over the phone lines on American Idol or something. Anyhow, in the meantime, if you're really itching to bump something, you can bump our friend, The Felt Mistress, here: http://www.freshbump.com/jon-burgerman-plush-toys]
[UPDATE 2: Apparently, we did overbump! Our sudden vigorous bumpage was a first for the site, and they incorrectly interpreted it as spam. Another stray act of civil disobedience by the posse? FreshBump are nice folks and apologized for the take-down. Bump again at your leisure!]

FormFiftyFive Header
Clear your cache for another Monday media takeover by Jon. This round, Jon has doodled a nice purple header for the great FormFiftyFive design site. Check it out this week only.
Founded in 2005 by an ever-growing group of young designers and vagabonds eager to collect and share the best design work they came across, FormFiftyFive is an international, interactive showcase of creative work.
Somos Arista
Jon contributed character graphics to Somos Arista, a Spanish agency specializing in advertising, public relations, branding, mobile marketing and more. There is also this great poster.
Accept & Proceed
Here’s a busy background Jon did for Accept & Proceed. Accept & Proceed is a design and art direction facility, providing print and interactive design for a wide range of sectors including the music, fashion and advertising industries.
Second Life Virtual Art Gallery
I’m going to preface this by admitting that my knowledge of Second Life is limited to an article I read in Wired. My attitude towards it could be summarized with: “That’s actually pretty neat, but I should probably focus on my First Life.” However, it may be time to give Second Life a second chance.
Cris Rose blew my mind with this one. Cris built a quarter square mile of Second Life virtual art galleries (with a solid chunk of real estate devoted to Jon Burgerman) before third-party funding unfortunately fell through. Those are actual Burgermenos and canvases by Jon that Cris rendered in Second Life. I think I speak for all of us when I say that this project has legs; let’s see it rise again! I’m in awe of this: it presents the possibility for people to see real life art regardless of their physical location. And my vision is poor, but is that a Tado in the corner…?!
Keep up with Cris by following his antics on twitter here. A bit more about Second Life and lots more images (courtesy and copyright Cris) follow.
Second Life is a free 3D virtual world imagined and created by its Residents. Once installed, you will be able to walk, “teleport” or even fly to thousands of exciting 3D locations. You can also use voice and text chat to communicate with other real people from around the world.
Burgerplex is Open For Business
I’ve known about this for a little while, but had to keep it secret. Jon just cut the virtual red ribbon and announced it himself, so the word is out. Burgerplex is open for business! Toys, books, prints and stuff to cover your laptop and iPhone are currently available. In the future, Burgerplex will offer indie items made by Jon. Support and buy direct! Here’s a snippet from Burgerplex:
For years Jon Burgerman has been lining the pockets of some of the world’s biggest brands with his collaborations and embellishments of their products, so he thought he’d start his own and call it burger. Now burgerplex.com is the first totally Jon controlled website that takes the ideas from his oddly shaped head and turns them into lovely products for you to buy.
Everything is made from the finest materials including gorilla hands, panda fur and breath from the last golden tamarind monkey left in the wild. You can buy in the confidence that your purchase really has an impact!
When we can drag Jon away from his Wii / toast / tea / slippers / bed / pictures of monkeys we will be adding new products and designs and our promise is to make sure we deliver them quickly and make sure you love the burger brand forever.
