Anton Rubber iPhone Case

iphone-anton

It’s iPhone fever time again with the release of Apple’s iPhone 3GS tomorrow. I remember scrolling through a forum before Johnny Cupcakes released his rubber iPhone case, and reading all of these people saying: “This makes me want to buy an iPhone!” That pretty much sums up how I feel about this, with the caveat that I’ve already been fiending for an iPhone for quite some time.  Jon made three iPhone cases for Côte et Ciel last year, and the Anton case has recently popped back up at a few online retailers. (I want “Oranges!”) If you pay for stuff in GBP, try Concrete Hermit and if you buy your gadget gear in USD, hit up Kidrobot. If you want to layer your iPhone in doodles, don’t forget that you can also get skins from Infectious.

iPhone and Laptop Sleeves

Jon did two collabs with French sleevemasters, Côte et Ciel: an ultra-exclusive MacBook sleeve and an iPhone/iPod Touch case. The MacBook sleeve was available in three sizes MacBook Air: 32.5 x 24cm, MacBook: 34 x 24.5cm and MacBook 15-inch: 36 x 26cm.

The laptop sleeves were made out of neoprene laminated jersey material with a multicolor print overlaid and no zipper. The iPod/iPhone cases were made from rubber with neatly molded buttons and injection molded multicolor characters. They were available in three styles: Oranges, Anton, Blues for the iPod Touch and iPhone only (first and second generation models will both fit).

The laptop sleeves were originally priced at £45 + postage. I could have had one of these if not for my laptop being a PC and my iPod being an ancient 4th Generation Clickwheel…
