The 100th issue of german lifestyle magazine Blond boasts artworks by one hundred artists, spearheaded by a slick Jonathan Meese-cover. Jon was commissioned to do this drawing, One Hundred Blurs, for inclusion in the magazine.
Faesthetic
Jon has contributed art to nearly every issue of Faesthetic Magazine, starting with Issue #1 printed in 2001. Shown below are excerpts from Issue 7 (2007–still available) and Issue 5 (2005).
By Artists, For Artists! The Fast Aesthetic… Since its inception in 2001, Faesthetic has grown from a photocopied zine into a high-quality Arts magazine with international participation and readership. Originally an annual, they now release 3 issues a year. Never to be taken too seriously, Faesthetic is made by artists, for artists. Not so much eye candy, as it is brain candy, Faesthetic supports making art for art’s sake. From day one, our aim has remained the same: to provide an affordable, original and accessible showcase for some of the best creativity and new art the world has to offer! We give the artists interesting themes and a limited palette to challenge and bring out unexpected results. Instead of focusing on ad sales, we focus on quality content. Faesthetic is currently 100% ad free! Think Faest!

Jon did the cover for the Special 2007 issue of Digital Arts. The issue centered on character creation, skateboard deck art, cartoon drawing for t-shirts and interactive online gaming. You can get back issues here for £5.99 for the UK, £8.99 for Europe, and £9.99 for the rest of the world.
Computer Arts Issue 127: No Limits Design

Jon has done a couple covers for Computer Arts magazine. Issue 127 came out in 2006 with the topic of No Limits Design.
For many designers today a job producing an illustration for an add campaign just isn’t going to cut it in terms of challenges and financial rewards. The current generation of designers are more likely to match commercial work with a whole load of side projects which really stretch their talents and imaginations which could be anything from interior design to fabrics to installations.
You may be able to get a back-issue of it here.
Characters for TEN4 Magazine
Jon contributed different series of characters for TEN4 Magazine, issue(s) unknown.
The Creator Studio: Pop Issue
Jon contributed to the October 2006, Pop! issue (#8) of The Creator Studio magazine. The issue was described as: “Popular, transient, expendable, low-cost, mass-produced, young, witty…The premise of Richard Hamilton from a 21st-century perspective.” You can see a Flash version of the content here.
The Creator Studio is a striking and contemporary international publication that is available in three languages. It was conceived as a communication channel for individuals worldwide who strive to create and publish quality material.
According to Base, “After 12 issues over five years, Creator Studio magazine is, at least for now, closing up shop. Published by Spanish printer Torraspapel as a showpiece for their services, Creator Studio has with each issue presented a new theme and fresh batch of international contributors. Since its inception the magazine has been available for free, in three languages—French, Spanish, and English versions of each issue—but now, despite an excellent reputation and broad subscription, is proving too costly to maintain.”
Here is Jon’s piece from Issue 8.
Celeste Magazine
Jon did a series of doodles about girls for Celeste Magazine, out of Mexico.
Celeste is dedicated to the creations, personalities and subjects that outline the contemporary culture. Submerged in the actual tide (rush) of globalization, Celeste includes articles of international relevance according to their creative competitiveness, having in this way, global contents of particular interest between the Mexican public. The content of the magazine appeals to men and women with a high socioeconomic level and a cosmopolitan culture, who search new proposals in the creative scene as an important part of their life style. The magazine distinguishes itself because contains a great scale of subjects that are developed by specialist people of different areas, but also thinking in a public with general knowledge of the scenes that conform the contents. Like this, the magazine is attractive for specialist readers as for people interested only in creative vanguard, searching accurate and pleasant sources of information.

SPY Magazine
The details of this are as undercover as the cover itself. All I can tell is that Jon did the cover for the March 2005 issue. SPY is either a publication from a German-speaking country or the front text is merely ironic.
