Enjoy this feast for the eyes alternative poster by Jon Burgerman for Cirque du Soleil ® TOTEM™. Giclée on Epson Enhanced Matte 192 gsm. Paper size 24″ x 36″, image size 22″ x 33 1/2″. Printed in Canada.
Here’s a bit more about SAFEWALLS:
Each month, SAFEWALLS is pairing up with three cutting-edge artists to create original art posters inspired by Cirque du Soleil shows. With these artworks, SAFEWALLS tours the world following the trail of Cirque du Soleil shows to hold a monthly exhibition that grows in size as works from previous cities are added to the collection. By bringing Cirque du Soleil and visual artists together, SAFEWALLS celebrates street art and culture—the very roots of Cirque—and breathes new life into the time-honoured art form that is the vintage circus poster.
The term “safe walls” refers to legal spots in the urban landscape for local graffiti artists to do their work without the fear of sanctions.
Jon’s print is available now for $55 (don’t forget the discount code!) here.
We Play at the V&A Risograph Print
Jon has a new print at the Victoria and Albert Museum:
The print, entitled ‘We Play at the V&A’, is about the exploration experienced by visitors to the museum. There are references to modern day culture and fashions in the characters as they dance around a selection of exhibits from the museums collection. The characters are caught contemplating the worth of the trinkets and clutter they surround their modern lives with and whether they will hold any value in hundreds of year’s time. Perhaps that’s not important now though; perhaps we should enjoy, learn and play whilst we still can.
The print was created exclusively for the V&A, and every purchase supports the museum. It’s an A3 risograph print (which translates to 11.7 x 16.5 inches), signed and numbered in an edition of 200 for 25 Euros (which translates to ~$36USD) available here.

Clean Air is Lungtastic!
“Clean air is lungtastic!” Truer words were never spoken. Today, the American Cancer Society launched the “More Birthdays” campaign. Jon has contributed a poster, print and wrapping paper featuring this new “Lungtastic” design. Each item is priced affordably, and you can’t argue that your dollar is going to a better cause. What do “more birthdays” mean to Jon? “The chance to eat way more cake than your fair share.” Check out products by Jon here.
About the movement for more birthdays:
For nearly 100 years, the American Cancer Society has been working to create a world with less cancer and more birthdays. And we can’t do it without your help. The movement for more birthdays is about everyday people, just like you, coming together to make a difference. This year more than 11 million cancer survivors will celebrate another birthday, thanks in part to the progress we’ve already made. But we can’t stop there. With every person who joins the movement, we can get closer to the day when cancer never steals another year from someone’s life. It all starts by helping people stay well and get well, and by finding cures and fighting back.

Jon’s definitely been exploring a new and musical chapter in his life recently, so it’s only fitting that he’d combine his love for music and doodles into one giant hybrid poster monster. The high quality print on 230gsm uncoated art paper is a massive format, portrait size 100×70 cm / 39.6×27.6″ beast sent rolled in a a strong card tube for £15 or ~ $23. Jon Burgerman Likes Cats
Jon Burgerman digs cats. To paraphrase an old adage, the proof is in the kibbles. Of his latest poster, he writes:
Do you like cats? What is your favourite cat? Here are my favourite cats, the ones I’ve met over the years and have left a lasting impression on me.
Via Jon’s Flickr, I’ve collected a few of his feline friends (see below), mostly those he encountered during his Brooklyn residency last summer. You can see some more cat action in this My American Summer montage video. You can get the Cats poster over at Burgerplex. It’s a “massive format portrait size 70×100 cm / 27.6×39.6″ high quality print on 230gsm uncoated art paper sent rolled in a a strong card tube for $21.56 USD. Click through for some cute overload.
