Anxieteam’s Debut Single Now Available
Last month, Anxieteam’s debut single on full-color picture disc became available for pre-order. It’s now back in general release, making today not only the launch of Anxieteam’s brand new website, but also the official launch of the must-have music of 2010. The single is a double A-side on a 7″ picture disc featuring the live favorites “Let’s Eat Soya” and “Lonely In The Digital World”. The band created the artwork themselves, Jim doing one side of the disc and Jon the other. There are only 500 copies of the disc. (I’ve already got mine. They shop fast from the UK!) You can buy it directly from Hello Thor or Burgerplex. Haven’t got a record player? Each ~$11 purchase is accompanied by a suite of mp3s.

Let’s eat soya! Let’s eat soya! I’m not even a vegetarian, and I could eat some soya right now. Breaking down boundaries, that’s what they do.
Anxieteam UK Gigs!
Anxieteam is playing two dates in the UK to celebrate the launch of their debut single, Let’s Eat Soya/ Lonely in the Digital World. The 7″ picture disc is produced by Hello Thor. Jon urges: “If you’re in either London or Nottingham please come along and say hi and not boo and cheer and clap!” London tickets are now available here: www.wegottickets.com/event/89748. Doodlesplatter urges you to go and take pictures and make illicit recordings on your cell phones. Anxieteam bootlegs are gonna be bigger than the Grateful Dead! Posse power.
Vinyl Factory at MondoPop
Jon and Jim Avignon followed up their Anxiety Room collaboration with some painted records for a group show at MondoPop called Vinyl Factory. More info about the show in Rome can be found here. Those who follow Jon’s projects may recall the painted record he did back in 2005 for the Wear It With Pride Remixed Exhibition. Here’s hoping these LPs made it all the way to Italy in better shape!
WIWP Remixed Exhibition at Phonica Records
Wear it With Pride in association with Fact Magazine and Phonica Records presented the Wear It With Pride Remixed Exhibition in 2005. It featured over 30 designers. Each designer was invited to customize a 12″ vinyl record, which was personal to them, and decorate it with whatever they wanted. The theme was left open and the space was to be used as imaginatively as possible. The vinyl was the central and most important piece in the show, but the sleeve and covers were also customized to complete the set. As it turned out, the London Royal Mail broke Jon’s record, but it was exhibited anyway. Along with Jon’s piece, the show featured vinyl by Tado, Jeremyville, Nathan Jurevicius and Superdeux. Jon’s unbroken record is shown below.
