Pictures From Kidrobot’s Doodle and Scrawl
Kidrobot posted a slideshow of photos from Jon’s recent Doodle and Scrawl signing at KRNY. The event looked well-attended, and Jon added colorful doodles to many a Munny. Although the bulk of the objects tended to be Munnyworld, I really dig this one person’s customized hat. A few photos follow. Click through for the slideshow courtesy of KR’s Flickr set.
Doodle and Scrawl Signing at Kidrobot NYC
Jon will be live doodling and signing toys at Kidrobot New York next week on Friday, June 11th. He’ll be signing for fans from 6-8PM. Heroes of Burgertown mini-figures and blank DIY toys will be available at the event.
Anxieteam Gigs in Brooklyn Announced!
Jon is back in his home-away-from-home of Brooklyn, New York for three appearances (so far). He’ll be doing a signing at Kidrobot NYC on June 10th sandwiched in between two Anxieteam gigs. Anxieteam will perform “ballads and salads” at 11PM tomorrow, June 2nd, at Pete’s Candy Store. Then, on June 13th, Anxieteam concludes “the last of a three month residency with art/low-fi techno superstar, Jim Avignon,” at Goodbye Blue Monday. This news is as fresh as the lettuce on your salad, so check back for more info as we get it. As always, pictures from the gigs are appreciated!
Pens Are My Friends Book Signing Photos
These photos of yesterday’s Pens Are My Friends book signing come to us freshly uploaded to Flickr by Saki. Jon was at GRNY to sign, draw and show off his new spectacles. Saki got a great vocational doodle. Jon got a jar of pickles. A good time was had by all.
Thunder Egg Doodling and Signing
Jon did a signing and doodling session at Thunder Egg in Manchester in 2007, during which the wall below was adorned with Burgerdoodles. Thunder Egg is a boutique of Japanese-inspired fashion for boys and girls. They also sell vinyl toys, accessories, brands including tokidoki, Lazy Oaf, Gama-Go, Emily Strange, Paul Frank, Hello Kitty and more.
