Blank Burgermenos
Jon’s Burgermenos Qees from 2007 remains one of my all-time favorite Qee series. While hunting something else on Flickr, I stumbled across these blank Burgermenos that were doodled on during Jon’s signing at Forbidden Planet for the release of the figures. A good one from the vaults. Anybody have these?
Custom 8-inch Egg Qees For Sale
I’ve seen these Qees around before, but never for sale. These are both really great 8-inch pieces. Greeny Egg (£250) glows in the dark. Fruit Head Egg looks like it’s already been spoken for. I must say that of all the platforms Jon has doodled on, I think Egg Qees are some of his best work. See previous Qee customs and the Burgermenos series. To buy that GID Greeny (and make me jealous), head over to Burgerplex.
Qee Customs
Jon’s art looks terrific on Qee platform toys by Toy2R. He customized Bears, Cats and Eggs. These pieces were private commissions. Color me jealous…
Burgermenos Qee Series

Jon’s Burgermenos set of a dozen egg-shaped Qee comprised the 2007 Magic of Color series for Toy2R. The 2.5-inch collectible plastic figures were sold blind-boxed and each contains one of 12 characters designed and doodled by Jon. (Some of the egg Qee have ears.) This was really the pinnacle of color for me; for the years preceding this series I meticulously collected black, green, clear and G.I.D. Qee only. Now I’m crazy for color and I’ve got the Gary Baseman egg Qee, etc.. There are 8 standard figures and 4 chase figures in the Burgermenos series. The standard figures are: Grimlock, Hemple, Jitter, Jonquil, Snowbert, Tootles, Zambo and Bazoo. The figures work with standard Qee stands that fit into their foot holes. Although they are no longer in production, they can usually be found on eBay or online at retailers like Future Plastik (from whom some of the following photos come).
Bart Simpson Custom Qee
In 2007, Jon customized a 10-inch Bart Simpson Qee for Toy2r. In 2008, following a global tour, Toy2R made the curious decision to auction all of the 10-inch Bart Simpson customs on the Toy2R forums. Proceeds from the July-August auction were donated to the Red Cross. Jon’s Zwartbart Bart Qee (offered at a starting bid of $400) may still be available since it’s unclear what became of the majority of figures. MCA, Buff Monster, Mark Nagata and Attaboy were some of the 90 artists involved in this project.
