LOVE MOVEMENT Customs Now Available!
Curating LOVE MOVEMENT was one of the best experiences of my life. You may remember seeing Jon’s figures as a preview here. I’ve already pontificated about LOVE MOVEMENT plentifully on my own website, but I wanted to post that all of the work is now available online for purchase at StoreEnvy. Jon Burgerman Likes Cats
Jon Burgerman digs cats. To paraphrase an old adage, the proof is in the kibbles. Of his latest poster, he writes:
Do you like cats? What is your favourite cat? Here are my favourite cats, the ones I’ve met over the years and have left a lasting impression on me.
Via Jon’s Flickr, I’ve collected a few of his feline friends (see below), mostly those he encountered during his Brooklyn residency last summer. You can see some more cat action in this My American Summer montage video. You can get the Cats poster over at Burgerplex. Check out this video from the Kicks-n-Canvas show. We like when non-traditional art objects are given the fine art treatment. Cheers to SoleHeaven and Zero Cool Gallery for making this event happen. Love to see these end up as production footwear in our Sneakers category. Just sayin’.

Globetrotting and Doodling For AOL
Wondering what the heck Jon was doing in Bangalore? Doodling all over the world for AOL, which, despite what anyone under 20 might think, actually still exists! Even my super-stalking, um, sleuthing skills couldn’t get me into India, so I had to wait for the downlow from this press release by Sam Summerskill of Jon’s agency, Debut Art.
Jon Burgerman has been flying all over the world for the past couple of weeks painting huge murals for the guys at Aol. He’s been to New York, Dulles, back to the UK and then…. Bangalore where he is today.
Been a nuts couple of weeks for Mr Burgerman, he has been drawing the murals then letting the guys at the different Aol. headquarters colour them in based. Super interactive, and super fun.
So, i guess, gadzoiks for Jon Burgerman day (apparently what today, the 10th February, is being called around the Aol. offices.)

Take that, MJ! We got our hands on this great edit of Jon live doodling at the NOISE Lab in Manchester. Now included in the JBVLA. Very, very cool.
