Science Skateboard
Jon was part of a guest range of designers for the UK’s Science Skateboards. The 100% Canadian Maple Ply decks were pressed in California and feature a new, lighter construction. Jon’s deck measures 8.06 inch x 31.75 inches. He has his own page with a brief interview here. You can get the deck for £41.00 here.
Greengoon Rip Curl European Collection
Jon designed a T-shirt, hoodie, cap, backpack, surfboard, snowboard and ski, surf and snowgear for Rip Curl Europe. All of the pieces in his summer and winter collections were made out of organic and recycled materials and have a unique Burgerman aesthetic plus a personal hangtag sticker with the Greengoon on it. Greengoon is Jon’s imaginary green friend that eats worms and recycles: “a classic Jon Burgerman character that fits perfectly in the Rip Curl Planet framework.” This gear is so awesome, it almost makes me want to be sporty. Here are tons of photos of the clothes, wall-doodling, the Greengoon and a video. Check it all out to get the full range of the range. If you stare long enough, you might have a Magic Eye experience.
